In the next week, Riley will have a Urodynamics study at the main hospital. This is a procedure that assesses how the bladder and urethra are performing their job of storing and releasing urine. Urodynamic tests help the doctor see how well your bladder and sphincter muscles work and can help explain symptoms such as
- incontinence
- frequent urination
- sudden, strong urges to urinate
- problems starting a urine stream
- painful urination
- problems emptying your bladder completely
- recurrent urinary tract infections
An MRI of the pelvic area is also on our schedule.....Riley was excited about this, because she says that now she can experience an MRI. *fun fun* :)
hope you get some answers soon!! oh boy about the mri.. at least shes staying positive about it! ... prayers for you all

Thanks for putting NF out there and for showing me how to thrive and embrace my life!
Let me know how this goes! I've been through this same situation at 40 yrs and once Urologist found my spinal cord was compressed by tumors (C3-T2), he said he couldn't help me until my spinal cord was decompressed. I had my spinal surgery Jan. 25, 2012 and will give my body some time to understand that the nerves are not pinched anymore but can forsee that I will need to see Urologist to help with bladder control.
